Clos Larcis
Purchased in 2007 by the Onclin family, Clos Larcis is a small estate covering 0.9 of a hectare (2.2 acres) located alongside the slopes of Saint-Emilion.
Situated in the heart of the Saint-Emilion limestone plateau and flanked on each side by two prestigious estates (Château Pavie and Château Larcis-Ducasse), it has exceptional terroir made up of a layer of clay over the Asteria limestone of the plateau.
Clos Larcis is given the same care and attention as Château Villemaurine.
The wines of Clos Larcis are made up 100% of Merlot and have an excellent tannic structure and great finesse on the palate.

2007
Clos Larcis 2007 displays a ruby-red colour with violet glints. On the palate, it reveals notes of ripe, red berry fruit. This is a wine with lovely roundness and good balance.
2008
Clos Larcis 2008 displays an attractive, deep red colour. The nose reveals delicate ripe fruit aromas. The palate shows lovely fruity, mineral notes.
2009
Clos Larcis 2009 exhibiits an attractive, deep red colour. It reveals rich flavours of ripe fruit with subtle oak nuances. The finish is long and suave.
2010
Clos Larcis 2010 shows a lovely depth of colour with violet glints. The nose reveals aromas of ripe black fruit which also come through on the palate together with notes of oak, coffee and vanilla. This superbly balanced wine has a lingering velvety finish.
2011
Clos Larcis 2011 has a lovely red colour with deep tones. The nose reveals aromas of fresh black fruit. Concentrated and lively on the palate, the finish is long with lovely fine tannins coming through.
2012
Clos Larcis 2012 displays an attractive ruby colour. On the palate, the wine is tender and vivacious and underpinned by fresh tannins. A well-balanced and seductive wine.
