Château Villemaurine invites you to experience its most exclusive visit, designed for guests seeking a private and in-depth discovery of the estate.
This private tour offers full access to the estate’s underground world, including its historic limestone quarries and monolithic cellar. You will explore this remarkable subterranean network, a unique testament to the history and identity of Saint-Émilion.
From the vineyard on the limestone plateau to the depths of the cellar, this experience reveals Château Villemaurine in its most authentic and intimate form, and can be adapted to your interests.
Accompanied by our team, you will discover the key stages of winemaking while gaining insight into the Saint-Émilion terroir through a personalised exchange.
The visit concludes in the privacy of the château with a guided tasting of three wines, including two Saint-Émilion Grands Crus Classés. This intimate moment takes place in a private room overlooking the vineyards, offering a calm and elegant setting for discussion and discovery.
The tasting is accompanied by 100% artisanal dark chocolate, carefully selected from a local producer.
Should you wish to adjust the pairing, this can be arranged upon request at least 48 hours in advance by email, with an additional charge payable on the day of the visit.

Located on Saint-Émilion’s renowned limestone plateau, the estate covers 7.8 hectares (19 acres) of exceptional terroir.
This experience focuses on sharing knowledge and exchanging ideas, offering an accessible introduction to our vineyard, our work, and the key stages of winemaking.
Throughout the tour, you will explore the vineyard and technical facilities while learning about viticulture, vinification, and ageing techniques. You will also have access to a selected section of our underground quarries, including the monolithic cellar carved into the limestone rock, providing a glimpse into this unique heritage.*
The visit concludes with a guided tasting of two wines in our boutique, including one Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé, in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.

The tour begins with an introduction to medieval Saint-Émilion, exploring the historical and geological forces that shaped the village and its development over the centuries.
You will then discover Château Villemaurine and its unique setting on Saint-Émilion’s limestone plateau, where the stories of stone and vine have been closely intertwined for generations.
The experience continues underground with access to selected sections of the estate’s quarries, distinct from those featured in our wine-focused tour. These galleries offer a fascinating insight into the work of the quarrymen and the history of the limestone beneath Saint-Émilion.
